Free Seminar to prep for the SHRM SCP or CP Exam

On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, Saginaw Valley State University Department of Continuing Education and VSHRM will sponsor a 2.5-hour seminar which is designed to assist people preparing to take the SHRM SCP or CP exam this cycle. The seminar will be in Room C203 in Curtiss Hall at SVSU and will begin at 5:30 PM and conclude at 8:00 PM.

This seminar will focus on preparation for the exam in the week before the exam and will go through several sample questions with the purpose of instilling a method for narrowing down the possible answers of the multiple-choice questions. This focuses on the technique rather than the substance.

The last exam yielded pass rates of 70% for the CP exam and 53% for the SCP. Unfortunately, many people who have prepared very well for the exam do not pass because they do not do well on standardized tests. This seminar will focus on techniques to get you past the panic of the exam and will help you systematically get to the right answer.

Your instructor will be Tim Quinn, a SHRM certified instructor, HR professional and attorney, who has taught the SHRM prep classes for many years.

Snacks and beverages will be provided.

There is no cost for the seminar. You must register with Continuing Education at 989.964-4048 by the end of business on Tuesday, May 15. The seminar will run, providing there are a minimum of three people signed up.
