Privacy Policy

The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you how the Valley Society for Human Resource Management (VSHRM) gathers and uses your public and non-public information.

The chapter collects and maintains membership information as part of servicing your membership. We restrict access to non-public personal information about members to national SHRM, VSHRM members and designated committee members with a business purpose to know this information in order to provide member services.

The chapter may share mailing lists (names, employer, phone number, mail & email addresses) of our members to selected human resource affiliates and service providers as authorized in advance by the VSHRM Board of Directors. Independent contractors and outside companies who perform work for us are required to adhere to strict privacy standards through their contracts with us.

While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur, we will take reasonable precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurrences. We do not collect or retain any other particularly sensitive information, such as your credit card or bank account information.

The chapter will cooperate when required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide information on individual members to the appropriate governmental authorities. In matters involving a danger to personal or public safety, the chapter may voluntarily provide information to appropriate government authorities.
