    Building an Intentionally Joyful Culture:
Cultivating high-functioning relationships to create lasting impact

    w/

Angela Jenkins & Annika Themm, Menlo Innovations

Despite their best efforts, many organizations struggle with fear. Fear of deadlines, conflict, or bringing up bad news hinders a team’s ability to build meaningful connections and embrace change when it inevitably comes. Join Annika and Angela, High-Tech Anthropologists®, as they describe steps to create and maintain an intentional culture centered on the antidote to fear: joy. They will share stories and strategies, starting with HR systems, to cultivate a joyful culture - one that allows you to maintain meaningful connections that will transform the way that people can grow, lead, and get work done.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Practical steps, starting with HR practices, to move from a culture of fear to a culture of joy in your organization
    • The role of fear in undermining an organization’s production and an understanding of what a joyful culture that is built on trusting relationships looks like
    • Concrete examples of how creating a culture of meaningful connections has impacted businesses

Annika Themm - High-Tech Anthropologist® at Menlo Innovations. Annika has been with Menlo for two years, and previously worked as a User Experience Specialist for the University of Michigan Library and the Harvard Library.

Angela Jenkins joined Menlo Innovations as a High-Tech Anthropologist® in 2023.
