Our course combines expert instruction with the 2024 SHRM Learning System—the official certification prep tool. We offer a comprehensive and effective way to prepare for success on your SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam. Receive one-on-one guidance from an expert, personal access to the SHRM Learning System, knowledge and skills necessary for the SHRM exam, the opportunity to network and collaborate, and a structured and supportive learning environment!
An 11-week program offering the highest quality of experience and knowledge in the world of HR. Register for the Instructor-Led hybrid course, taught with a mix of online assignments and in-person discussions guided by an experienced HR professional. The SHRM Learning System through SVSU will prepare you for the nationally recognized SHRM certification exam.

Time: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (In-Person Sessions), and 6:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. (virtual Q&A) on assigned chapters/topics.

In-person dates will be active learning. Participants will participate in discussions, learn actively, and ask questions directly for clarification on course material. All virtual dates will be independent learning with a 60-minute Zoom touch-base call with the instructor.
Your Instructor: Shannon Robinson!
Shannon Robinson is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Since graduation, Shannon has worked in human resources for over 16 years. She specializes in contact centers, customer service, and healthcare. Shannon earned her PHR in 2012 and currently holds her SHRM-CP. She is very passionate about her human resources career and is equally passionate about training and developing others.
The SHRM Learning system through SVSU will provide you with extensive knowledge and experience in the HR field, through convenient learning means. Receive one-on-one guidance from an HR expert, with years of experience in the field. Work alongside other HR professionals and gain the opportunity to network and form professional connections. Participants who pass the SVSU certification will have the knowledge to take and pass the SHRM SCP exam--a nationally recognized HR certification.
